Acting principles
At the heart of our investment strategy is the support provided to entrepreneurs and executives, an irreplaceable component of any transaction.
We are neither speculative investors nor corporate raiders; our aim is to create business value in the medium and long term.
CAPITAL ALIANZA follows a policy of support to entrepreneurs, based on a solid understanding of their business. Our investments imply to back up the position of an entrepreneur who is fully committed, in financial and personal terms, as the leader of a management team, to the company’s success. When making these investments, it is essential to have the entrepreneur’s interests aligned with those of CAPITAL ALIANZA, who shares the risk inherent to the project.
We are active partners. All members of CAPITAL ALIANZA, apart from offering financial experience, have significant industrial knowledge that benefits our investment activity, and are sensitive to business management requirements. We do not intervene in daily operational management but do expect to play an important role in the company’s strategic decisions and financial management, whilst supporting the entrepreneur.
We are neither speculative investors nor corporate raiders. Our aim is to guide, focus and organize the value creation process by designing and carrying out strategic plans that strengthen the competitive position of companies involved in businesses offering potential for enhanced profitability, and with entrepreneurs and management teams that are able to make a difference. We view ourselves as artisans, fully committed to business projects and thoroughly dedicated to such task alongside the entrepreneur.
We are temporary investors. We do not plan to remain invested beyond the time required for the company to take advantage of the opportunity or to carry out the transformation which are at the origin of our participation.
We are sensitive to the company’s operational needs and ensure that our presence strengthens the company and that our exit has no detrimental effects.
Companies such as Unión Española de Explosivos (now “maXam”), Teleaction or Controljornal (Portguese press group), now all leaders in their respective markets, once counted on our team’s financial back-up and management support.
